Episode 253: Should We Be Worried About the Australian Economy? | Carlos Cacho, Jarden Australia

Inflation, rising cost of living and interest rates…

Signs of a global looming recession have never been more palpable.

As a result, many Australians question: amid all this negativity, where are we heading to?

In this episode, Chief Economist at Jarden Australia Carlos Cacho joins us to weigh in on the current state of the national economy. Despite these difficult circumstances, is there a light at the end of this tunnel?

We discuss what’s going on in the property market, consumer behavior and why spending is unaffected by low consumer confidence, labour shortages in Australia, and how inflation can lead us to a potentially worse economic outcome.
